The 4th Pillar of our emerging Creative Practice

Disrupt - To break, upheave, interrupt the normal course

When:

10am - 5pm, 2nd & 3rd November

Where:

Chisenhale Dance Space (Mile End, London)

Our Questions:

Question 1: What does centering and empowering disruption as the cornerstone of creative practice offer? Change is impossible without a disruption. What if disruption were encouraged in creative practice?

Question 2: How does disruption manifest as a physical or pedagogical principle in the space? What movement, stories, physicality and play come from disruption?

Question 3: How can art and creative practice be used to disrupt society in a useful way? “You can't change anything without causing some degree of disruption. It's impossible, that is exactly what change is. Some people are uncomfortable with the disruption that change causes, but the disruption is necessary if anything is going to change.” - Afeni Shakur
