In Search Of Fathers
About
WHAT ARE WE SEARCHING FOR?
WHAT IS OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH RELATIONSHIPS?
A radical reimagining of the myth of Orpheus.
IN SEARCH OF FATHERS takes the classical myth of Orpheus and places it in a modern context asking how do these narratives feed into our understanding? In a vibrant, twisting journey full of high impact dream like imagery we follow Orphee on a journey to overcome mortality, challenge identity and confront parenthood.
Fusing powerful physical theatre with stunning visual imager, hip hop, spoken word and contemporary storytelling In Search Of Fathers interrogates our relationships with father figures, role models and identity in our society and examines how they impact on our contemporary life.
In search of Fathers is an ongoing development in R&D across the UK in Drama Schools and Youth Companies.
